The Maharishi Ayurveda Association of Australia is a group of health professionals dedicated to the prevention of disease and the promotion of optimal health through Maharishi Ayurveda. PRESIDENT: Dr Tim Carr MBBS
Dr. Tim Carr graduated in medicine, with honours, from Sydney University in 1976. Dr Carr attended a 12 month Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course for health professionals in 1980. He completed his 12 months postgraduate studies in Maharishi AyurVeda at the Maharishi International University Institute of Ayurvedic Studies, in Iowa, USA and the Gujarat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar, India in 1985. He furthered his studies at the World Centre for Ayurveda, Delhi, India and the Maharishi Vedic University, Holland. From 2002 to 2008, Dr Carr was advisor on Ayurveda to the Complementary Medicines Evaluation Committee of the Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration. Dr Carr has worked with some of the foremost Vaidyas (Ayurvedic Physicans) of India. He has lectured Australia-wide on prevention-oriented natural health care and has conducted many training courses for doctors and health care professionals in Maharishi Ayurveda. He is based in Sydney.
VICE-PRESIDENT: & TREASURER: Wendy Rosenfeldt
Wendy Rosenfeldt is a Maharishi AyurVeda Consultant and Teacher of Transcendental Meditation. Wendy is based in Maleny on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland in Queensland and also consults in Noosa and the Gold Coast.
SECRETARY: Heather Lorenzon
Heather has had 24 years experience as a qualified Maharishi AyurVeda Consultant. She has been teaching the Transcendental Meditation technique for the past 40 years. Heather is based in Adelaide.
PUBLIC OFFICER: Robert Johnson
Robert is a Maharishi Vedic Health Practitioner and Teacher of Transcendental Meditation, based in the CBD of Melbourne.
